Thoreau's Cove

Walden Pond. I've been checking out Chip Forelli's Photography in print and on the web as well as Laura McPhee at the Boston MFA. Both specialize in landscapes. Forelli's are smaller and more detail oriented but are rich in composition. McPhee's are broader with wide swaths of light appearing in the middle (typically.) This is my first attempt to incorporate those techniques into my own photo. I'm concentrating on sharpness and composition primarily, but am also considering the effect of a bright subject near the center of the piece such as the penninsular grove of bushes jutting in from the right.
